Chalkboard Paint Basket Table Numbers
These make sweet, and reusable centerpieces or place settings for weddings, parties or holiday dinners. Mark the baskets with table numbers or names and fill with seasonal flowers.
Things you’ll need:
Small metal baskets
Chalkboard paint
Foam brush
Chalk
Flowers
Things to do:
1. Coat the outside and handle of each basket in three coats of paint, allowing each to dry before adding the next.
2. Allow the paint to cure for 2 days and then fill with flowers and add table numbers or names.

I dream of one day being one of those people who always has a stash of gifts, ready to give when a birthday party or an last minute invitation arises. For now, though, I’m contenting myself with having wrapping paper at the ready so that when I run out to buy that inevitable rushed gift I don’t also have to find something to wrap it in. These bags are perfect, always at the ready, no extra tag or ribbon necessary. Just drop in a gift add a name in chalk and go. As an extra bonus, the chalkboard paint makes these bags reusable, just wipe off and add a new name.
Things you’ll need:
Solid colored gift bags
Chalkboard paint
Ribbon or patterned tape
Craft Glue
Foam brush
Things to do:
1. Lay the bag out flat on a covered work surface. Paint a three-inch stripe of paint across the center of the bag. Allow the paint to dry and then paint a second coat over the first.
2. Once the paint is dry, cover the top and bottom edge of the stripe with either patterned tape or a bead of glue and then a piece of ribbon.
3. Trim off any excess, dabbing the ends of the ribbon, if used, with glue, to keep it from fraying.
