DIY Chalkboard Birthday Banner
This fun and festive banner is a sweet way to celebrate a birthday, or any other special occasion. The chalk circles make it easy to change the message, so you can reuse this banner time and time again.
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 15 Minutes
Age range: 10 and Up
Things you’ll need:
Chalkboard tags
Jute twine
Pinecones
Scissors
Chalk Ink marker
Things to do:
1. Cut a piece of jute that measures 4 1/2 feet.
2. Write “H-A-P-P-Y-B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y” on the chalk circles using a chalk pen.
3. Thread the letters that spell Happy” onto the 4 1/2 feet of jute.
4. Attach a pinecone to each end of the jute. Place the pinecone on top of the jute and wrap the string around tightly.
5. Tie a knot at each end, so you can hang your banner easily.
6. Repeat steps 1-5, creating a Birthday” banner. String the banners up to celebrate!
DIY Chalkboard Tag Banner
Anyone who knows me knows that I love banners. I LOVE them! I’ve got them all over my house and I’m always looking for more to add to the mix. This chalkboard tag banner is right up my ally, cute, fun and so easily changeable for whatever event, message or day of the week it is! Paired with butcher’s twine, it makes a great addition to any decor, is perfect for parties or just for an everyday cheer up!

Things you’ll need:
Chalkboard tags
Chalk or Chalk Ink Pen
Baker’s twine
Scissors
Things to do:
1. Using your Chalk Ink Pen or chalk, write a letter on each tag so the holes are on either side of the letter rather than top and bottom.
2. Cut a length of butcher’s twine just a little longer than what you need for the banner.
3. Run the string into the hole on one side and across the back of the tag and out the other side and then onto the next letter.
4. Space the tags evenly across the string and hang!
