DIY Spring Egg Topiary Tree Tutorial

Decorate your Easter table with this whimsical centerpiece! Your guests are sure to love this playful take on the season.

Things you’ll need:
Birch flower pot
Moss
Florist foam
Knife
Dowel
Styrofoam ball
White paint
Pink ribbon
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
Mini Easter eggs

Things to do:
1. Paint your dowel white and set it aside to dry.
2. Carve your foam block down to fit snugly inside the birch flower pot.
3. Slide your dowel into the center of the Styrofoam ball.
4. Stick the other end of the dowel into the center of the foam inside the pot.
5. Use hot glue to attach eggs to the surface of the Styrofoam ball. Over the entire surface.
6. Cover the foam in the pot with a layer of moss.
7. Tie a bow around the middle of the dowel.

How to Make a Tutu Easter Basket

Your little ballerina will be delighted when she finds her tutu Easter basket filled with candy! This adorable project is easy to make and you can customize the colors for your favorite little dancer!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Easter basket
Tulle (pink, lavender, purple)
5/8″ Ribbon
1 1/2 ” Ribbon
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Self-Stick rosettes

Things to do:

  1. Measure your basket to determine how long your tutu tulle needs to be. Your tulle should be roughly double the height of your basket.
  2. Cut roughly 100 pieces of tulle.
  3. Measure the circumference of your basket. Cut a piece of ribbon to wrap around the basket.
  4. Next, we’re going to cover the ribbon with tulle. Fold your tulle piece in half, lay the ribbon across it, tuck the ends of the tulle up through the loop and pull it tight. Repeat this step until the ribbon is completely covered.
  5. Use glue to attach your ribbon with tulle to the edge of your basket.
  6. Stick on your rosettes around the edge of the basket.
  7. Tie a large bow on the handle of the basket.
