Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 minutes
Age range: 6 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Wooden spools
White acrylic paint
Ribbon
Needle
Scissors
Black marker
Orange marker
Paintbrush

Things to do:
1. Paint three wooden spools with white acrylic paint. Apply a thin coat and let it dry completely before moving onto the next step.

2. Once the paint has dried, it’s time to decorate the snowman. Use a black marker to draw three buttons on two spools. The buttons should look like bumpy ovals.

3. For the face, draw a long orange triangle for the nose and color it in. Draw two pebble eyes above the nose.
4. Thread a yarn needle with a 1-inch ribbon and pull it through the center of all three spools. Trim the ribbon, leaving a 5-inch tail.

5. Knot the ribbon beneath the bottom spool.

6. Tie a knot at the top of the spools, creating a loop to hang your ornament from.
