Upcyling: Paper Tube Owls

This lazy afternoon activity can be a fun craft with kids or turn out some pretty little decorations, or both! A great way to use up scrapbook paper scraps, goggle eyes and other supplies, these owls are cute no matter what you cover them with!

Things you’ll need:
Toilet paper tubes
Scrapbook paper, goggle eyes, miscellaneous craft supplies
Modge Podge
Foam brush

Things to do:
1. Paint each tube with a thin layer of Modge Podge and then wrap with patterned paper. Smooth out any wrinkles and trim away any excess.
2. Press down the top on each side to create two peaks for ears.
3. Cut out wings, eyes and a beak from other paper scraps and glue in place with a small amount of Modge Podge.
4. Once the Modge Podge has set up, coat the entire owl with another layer to seal, working out any wrinkles that might form with your fingers. Allow to dry.
