Time to complete: 20 minutes
Age range: 10 and up
Things you’ll need:
Popsicle sticks
Acrylic paint
Foam brush
Mod Podge
Glitter
Hot glue gun/hot glue sticks
Foam
Scissors
Photo
Things to do:
1. First, cut six popsicle sticks in half. If possible, round the edges.
2. Next, we’re going to decorate our popsicle sticks. Apply a thick layer of Mod Podge to the front of five of your six popsicle sticks. Sprinkle a layer of glitter over the top and let it dry.
3. Paint your last small popsicle stick and two full-sized popsicle sticks with red or green paint.
4. While your Mod Podge and paint are drying, cut a 1×1 inch square out of foam. Trim your photo down to fit on the foam and attach it with glue.
5. Now it’s time to assemble your sled. Apply a thin line of hot glue down the side to attach the five mini popsicle sticks.
6. Use glue to attach your painted popsicle sticks, creating a sled frame.
7. When the glue has dried, attach the smaller popsicle sticks to the top of the painted frame.
8. Use glue to attach the foam frame and photo.
9. Hang your sled with string or display it on a self.
