Modge Podge Composition Book

Modge_Podge_Composition_Book
If you are anything like me, I am constantly carrying around a composition notebook or three for various places so that I can easily jot down ideas as they come. Add another project to the list because this little notebook is a must! Personalize your notebook with a little Modge Podge and carry this puppy around for all those future {genius} ideas that are sometimes so fleeting (for me at least lol)!

Things you’ll need:
Composition Notebook
Modge Podge Hardcoat
Scissors
Lightweight patterned paper, two sheets
Lightweight solid paper, 1 sheet
Foam brush

Things to do:
1. Brush a thin coat of Modge Podge onto the front cover of the notebook, stopping about 1/2 inch from the binding.

2. Smooth a piece of patterned paper onto the front so that one edge is parallel to the binding edge. Work out any bubbles. Repeat with the other side. Allow the Modge Podge to dry, checking for bubbles periodically.
3. Once dry, open the notebook and trim away any excess paper from the edges.
4. Cut a strip from the plain paper that is 3-inches wide and at least an inch longer than the binding of the book.
5. Paint a line of Modge Podge onto the front that is 1/4 inch away from the binding and extends out about 1 inch. Smooth the strip on, making sure that the cut edge is straight.

6. Repeat with the other side, being careful not to add Modge Podge to the end of the binding. This will allow the book to open and close smoothly and with out straining the paper.
7. Coat the entire notebook with a thin coat of Modge Podge Hardcoat to protect the new surface.
