Make Your Own Block Dollhouse Kitchen


Sometimes, the simplest toys are the best ones, right? You almost can’t beat the fun of a basic cardboard box, after all. Blocks are another one of life’s simple toy pleasures, able to turn into so many things. These little kitchen blocks are a great addition to your toy collection. Perfect for building or house playing, they’ll be a hit, you can be sure!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 1 hour

Things you’ll need:
Wood blocks
Paint in a background color, plus grey and black
Black permanent marker
Paint brushes

Things to do:
1. Paint each block on all sides in the background color. You’ll want to paint two coats, allowing each to dry before adding the next.

2. Using your grey paint, add handles on each of two blocks for the refrigerator, a band of grey along the top of one for an oven and circles on another side of the oven block for the burners and a rectangle of another block for a sink with dots for the faucet and knobs.

3. Once the grey paint is dry, use the black paint to add the window of the oven and dots for the oven dials.
4. Finally use your black pen to outline the sink and fridge handles, add grates to the burners an draw cabinets on the sink block. Allow the paint and ink to dry before playing.
