Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 10 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Tulle
Cardboard
Ribbon
Scissors
Knife

Things to do:

  1. First, cut out two cardboard circles that measure 12″ across. Cut a 3-4″ hole in the center of the circles.
  2. Next, you’re going to sandwich a piece of string inside your cardboard circles. Wrap it around the center of the circle and use tape to hold it in place. Leave the ends of the string near the end of the circle.
  3. Wrap tulle around the cardboard circles, passing it through the center.
  4. When you’ve covered the circles with tulle, take your scissors and slide them between the circles, cutting the tulle.
  5. Pull the ends of your string to tighten the tulle, creating your pompom. When it’s pulled tightly, knot the string.
  6. Pull the tulle pompom out of the cardboard form.
