This shallow bowl is perfect for holding little accessories like rings, hair pins, and hair ties.

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 30 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Sculpey III Sky Blue Oven-Bake Clay
Clay roller
Round Crochet Doily
Circle template or circle cookie cutter (ours is 3 1/2 ” in diameter)
Bowl for shaping
Baking sheet
Aluminum foil

Things to do:
1. Preheat oven according to polymer clay instructions. (We are using Sculpey III, so we preheated the oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.) Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

2. Open the clay packaging and knead the clay with your hands until it’s soft and easy to shape.

3. Using the clay roller, roll out the clay on a flat surface until it is about 1/4″ thick.

4. Using your circle template, cut out a circle.

5. Using your fingers, gently smooth the edges of the clay to get rid of any uneven edges.

6. Place the doily onto the clay, just off to the side. Gently press it into the clay to imprint.

7. Pull the doily away from the clay.

8. Place the clay circle into the bowl to shape it.

9. Carefully remove the clay from the bowl. Use your fingers to smooth the clay’s edges again, if necessary.

10. Place the clay onto the baking sheet. Bake according to polymer clay instructions. (For Sculpey III, bake for 15 minutes for 1/4 ” or less thickness.)

11. Remove the clay from the oven. Allow it to cool, then place all your pretty accessories inside!
