These simple ornaments are something all kids and adults will love to make this holiday! This adorable holiday ornament was made with some basic craft supplies and made in minutes. Not only could this be used for a tree, try placing them on gifts packaging for a lovely handmade accent.
Materials needed:
- 1 pack of Gold Metallic Tinsel Pipe Cleaners
- 1 package Metalic Star Beads
- Antique Gold FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint
- 1 package Unfinished Wood Star Cutouts
- Palm Leaf Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint
- 1 package Wood Craft Popsicle Sticks
- 1 packageWood Clothespins
- Nutmeg Brown Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint
- Natural Jute Twine

Here you will start taking apart the clothespins and removing the silver connector. You will need 3 clothespins per Christmas Tree Ornament.
Grab your desired color choices for your “tree” and the “truck”. I chose a palm green and nutmeg brown for my tree. Paint a nice coating over all the clothespins and the popsicle sticks.
Once all is dry, you will then start glue the clothespins together. When gluing them together, you will have them flipped around having the flat parts glued together. You will do this for 2 clothespins for each tree.
Then you will take the 3rd clothespin and gluing this on each side of the other two. You will want the thin pointed parts of the clothespins at the top of the “tree” Again gluing the flat parts together
Grab one of your wooden star cutouts. You will want to paint this a different color for a pop! I always love a shimmery gold paint, so i choose to use Gold FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint.
Once your star has dried, come in hot gluing the popsicle stick to the back of the tree. Then hot glue the star in place on the front side at the top.
You will then measure the pipe cleaner against the tree to see what size will be needed for each “garland”. I chose to make 3 sections of garland and hot glued them in place.
Here is where you can add your “ornaments” to your tree! We had these cute assorted colored star beads. The size was perfect to add them all in between the garlands.
Lastly, you will grab a twin or some jute to create the hanger. You will then cut a section to be glued on the back side of the ornament. From there, you are ready to hang among the tree and ENJOY!
