DIY Pink and Gold Ombre Glittered Wine Bottle

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 1 hour plus drying time.
Age range: Adults

Things you will need:
Wine Bottle
Bubblegum Pink Extra Fine Glitter
Blush Pink Extra Fine Glitter
Champagne Extra Fine Glitter
Mod Podge
Krylon Glitter Blast Clear Sealer Spray

Things to do:
1. Cover the top third of the wine bottle with a layer of Mod Podge all the way around.

2. Over a paper lined container, generously pour the Blush Pink Extra Fine Glitter over the Mod Podge. Since the blush pink color is such a light color, I added two coats of Mod Podge and glitter to the top of the wine bottle. Shake off any excess glitter.
3. Fold paper in half and pour glitter back into the container.

4. Brush a layer Mod Podge onto the middle third of the wine bottle.

5. Over a paper lined container, pour the Champagne Extra Fine Glitter over the Mod Podge layer. I poured a little bit of champagne glitter on the bottom of the blush pink glitter layer as well, so the colors would blend well together. Shake off excess glitter. I only needed one coat of glitter with the champagne glitter. Set aside bottle to dry.
6. Fold paper in half and pour glitter back into the container.

7. Once the blush pink layer is glitter is dry (so you are able to the hold to wine bottle by the top), brush on a layer of Mod Podge to the bottom third of the wine bottle.

8. Over a paper lined container, generously pour the Bubble Gum Pink Extra Fine Glitter over the Mod Podge. Again, I poured a little bit of bubble gum pink glitter on the bottom of the champagne glitter layer as well to blend the colors. Shake off excess glitter. Set aside wine bottle to dry.
9. Fold paper in half and pour glitter back into the container.
10. Once the wine bottle is dry, in a well ventilated area spray the bottle with the Krylon Glitter Blast Clear Sealer Spray. This will help keep the glitter from falling off. I, once, decided to add glitter to a champagne bottle as gift for a friend hosting a New Year’s Eve party. Except, I did not add a sealant for the glitter and glitter was all over her house. (Sorry Sarah!) So, do not skip this step.
