Upycled Book Page Treat Bags

I’m a die hard book lover, and while taking a book apart isn’t my favorite thing in the world, sometimes books are too broken down to save. And instead of just recycling them, I love to find new uses for them! These treat bags are a snap to make and perfect for gifting special goodies to the book lovers in your life.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Book pages
Washi tape
Stamps
Bakers twine
Hole punch

Things to do:
1. Decorate your page by adding a stamp or drawing slightly down from the center of the page.

2. Fold the two sides in to meet, just overlapping on the back side. Seal the seam with a long strip of washi tape. Trim any excess from the ends.

3. Fold the bottom 1 inch or so up toward the seam side.

4. Fold the corner in to flatten the fold into a bag bottom.

5. Fold the edges in to meet each other and seal this new seam with tape.

6. Open the bottom up so that the bag stands flat. Fill the bag and fold the top few inches down toward the front of the bag.

7. Punch two holes near the top and tie closed with twine to finish.
