Popsicle Sled Christmas Ornaments Tutorial

Paint a simple, rustic sled ornament to hang on your tree or give as a gift! Mix and match different types of pine and different adornments to give each its own unique look.

Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Mini popsicle sticks
Bakers twine
Paint
Fake pine sprigs
Bells
Hot glue
Hot glue gun

Things to do:
1. Paint 5 mini popsicle sticks a dark burgundy color. Layer as many coats as necessary to achieve the desired color.
2. Lie 4 popsicle sticks together, side by side.

3. Glue the fifth popsicle stick across the top of the four sticks. As you are gluing the fifth on, move the four slightly so they don’t line up perfectly even.
4. Cut a sprig of pine and glue it on to the top of the sled.

5. Glue a jungle bell on either side of the sprig.

6. Create a bow out of bakers twine and glue it at the base of the pine sprig.

7. Cut a length of bakers twine a couple inches long and glue one end on either side of the sled, at the top.
