Looking for an inexpensive way to decorate for a birthday party or baby shower? These monogram letters are super cute and only take a few minutes to make! They also make great party crafts. Give every child a letter and let them decorate it however they’d like!
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 20 minutes
Age range: 8 and up *For younger ages, use white glue
Things you’ll need:
Paper mache letter
Paint
Foam brush
Pompoms
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Things to do:
1. The first step is painting your cardboard letter. I recommend using a foam brush, because you can get a nice thick coat. Don’t forget to cover all of the edges. Let it dry completely before moving on.
2. Next, decorate your letter with pompoms! You can place them in any pattern you’d like and use hot glue to hold them in place. I started at the corners and worked my way in, spreading the pompoms out the closer to the center I got. Don’t forget to vary the colors and cover the back of your letter if it will be sitting on a table, because you’ll be able to see both sides.
