Find your way home with this whimsical styrofoam lighthouse. Perfect for your lake house or just for a lighthouse lover, you’ll be able to make this craft in many different colors and designs.

Things you’ll need:
Styrofoam cone
Acrylic paint http://factorydirectcraft.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=acrylic+paint
Paint brushes
Scissors
Sequin pins
Battery operated candle
Rubber bands
Piece of white fabric or muslin large enough

Things to do:
1. Start to cover the styrofoam with the fabric, pinning in place.

2. Wrap the fabric around carefully, cutting where needed, and pin neatly as shown.

3. Place the rubber bands around the cone as shown. You’ll be painting inside the the bands, so choose your placement carefully.

4. Paint between the rubber bands, creating crisp stripes.

5. This is what the cone will look like. Wait for the paint to dry .

6. Paint around the base of the tea light.

7. Paint some windows – as many as you’d like!

8. Add a door, and when the cone is completely dry, remove the rubber bands and place the tea light on top.
