Make your own ribbon wand, perfect for Summer evenings at the park or for small town parades!
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 1-2 hours
Age range: 8+
Things you’ll need:
Wooden dowel
White satin ribbon
Silver swirl ribbon
Blue with white dot ribbon
Blue organza ribbon
Red organza ribbon
Hot glue
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Things to do:
1. Cut lengths of ribbon a couple feet long. I used 7 total lengths of ribbon.
2. Tie all of the strands of ribbon together with a knot in the center.
3. Position the knot over the end of the dowel and glue in place.
4. Cut a 2-3 inch long piece of thicker ribbon, fold it over the end of the dowel (covering the ribbon knot), and glue it in place.
5. Starting over the folded piece of ribbon, wrap another piece of ribbon, gluing in place as you wrap, all the way down the dowel.
