This adorable yet simple method for creating small felt bows, is an easy and frugal way to create an adorable bow to match any outfit!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 10 minutes+
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Felt
Hair clip/barrette
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Ruler *optional

Things to do:
1.Cut a bandage shape piece of felt. This will be your bow base, and will dictate how small or large you choose to make your bow. Optional: Cut a smaller bandage shape in another color, to make a contrasting piece like the example photo. If you choose to do so, apply a small dot of glue to very middle of your larger piece and center your smaller pie on top, and apply light pressure.

3. Cut a strip to wrap around the middle of your bow. We cut the length 1/2 longer than the width of the bow to be sure that it would snuggly and securely wrap around. The width is optional, but looks best if it doesn’t cover much more than the area you pinched in the middle with your hot glue.

4. Apply a dot of glue to the back of your bow, and wrap your strip around the middle. Be sure to pull it together tightly, so that it will stay in place.

5. Lastly, apply hot glue and attach your bow to your hair clip. Be careful that you do not burn your fingers, as the metal on the clip tends to get hot.
