DIY Golden Snitch Harry Potter-Inspired Ornament

Use this simple DIY for a super easy peasy Harry Potter inspired ornaments. This is a fabulous craft idea for children to whip up for the Christmas Tree or to give to their favorite Potter Head!

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 10 minutes + dry time
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Christmas ornament
Mod Podge
Gold glitter
Paint brush
White Wire Garland
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Using your paintbrush, brush an even coat of mod podge onto your ornament.

2. Sprinkle with gold glitter, covering all bare spots. Allow to fully dry.

3. Cut two pieces of garland for your wings. This will depend on the size of wings you desire for the size of ornament you have chosen. We used around 6 inches per wing.

4. Bend your wire garland into a wing shape. This is super simple!
5. Attach your wings to each side of your ornament using hot glue.

DIY Bookpage Christmas Ornament

Create a gorgeous ornament using the pages from your favorite books for a unique Christmas tree theme. These ornaments make great gifts, and can be personalized to make a thoughtful present for your favorite bookworm!

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 10 minutes + dry time
Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Christmas Ornament
Mod Podge
Book pages
Paintbrush
Glitter

Things to do:
1. Gently rip pieces in all shapes and sizes out of your book pages. Tip: finding books at thrift stores that have been heavily used is a great option for this project.

2. Paint or saturate your page pieces in mod podge, and smooth onto your ornament.

3. Once your pieces have been added to your ornament, completely covering all bare spots, use your hands to smooth all of your pieces into place. There will be lumps, this is normal and sometimes unavoidable.
4. Sprinkle with glitter and shake off the excess, while your mod podge is still wet.

5. Allow to dry.
