Spruce up your space with these shabby-chic tin can pumpkins! They add such a charming, homey touch to your holiday decor that you’ll want to keep them up all season long!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 15 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Tin can
Orange paint
Foam brush
Hot glue gun/glue sticks
Artificial leaves
Wired jute
Raffia ribbon
Scissors

Things to do:
1. First, paint your tin can orange. If you’re using acrylic paint, apply a thick coat. It’s difficult to add another layer once the paint has dried.

2. Next, we get to decorate! Use hot glue to secure a leaf to the top of your tin can.
3. Wrap wired ribbon around the handle of your foam brush to create the stem. Slide it off gently, being careful to preserve the curl. Use hot glue to secure it the center of your lid, just over the leaf.

4. To finish your pumpkin, wrap raffia ribbon around the middle of the tin can and knot it in the center. Trim the ends for a polished look.

Wood Slice Pumpkin Clip Tutorial

Create a rustic, fall perfect wood slice pumpkin clip, great for desks, decor and even use as a refrigerator magnet.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 10 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Wood slice
Paint/Paintbrush
Clothespin
Jute twine
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Craft glue
Pencil

Things to do:
1. Use pumpkin colored paints to paint the front side of your wood slice. We used a vibrant orange, with a bit of yellow to give definition.

2. Wrap the top half of your clothespin with jute twine and glue it in to place.

3. Using hot glue, glue your clothespin to the back of your wood slice, leaving the area with the jute twine exposed.

4. Using your craft glue, saturate jute twine. The length will be dependent on how much of a curl stem you would like.
5. Wrap your saturated twine around a pencil, and allow to dry.

6. Once dried, glue your twine to your pumpkin using hot glue.
Optional: You can add a magnet to the back to create a magnetic clip. This will need to be a magnet with enough strength to hold the weight of the wood slice. You may also add faux leaves or greenery to your pumpkin to give it some additional snazz.
