Create a rustic, fall perfect wood slice pumpkin clip, great for desks, decor and even use as a refrigerator magnet.
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 10 minutes
Age range: 10+
Things you’ll need:
Wood slice
Paint/Paintbrush
Clothespin
Jute twine
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Craft glue
Pencil
Things to do:
1. Use pumpkin colored paints to paint the front side of your wood slice. We used a vibrant orange, with a bit of yellow to give definition.
2. Wrap the top half of your clothespin with jute twine and glue it in to place.
3. Using hot glue, glue your clothespin to the back of your wood slice, leaving the area with the jute twine exposed.
4. Using your craft glue, saturate jute twine. The length will be dependent on how much of a curl stem you would like.
5. Wrap your saturated twine around a pencil, and allow to dry.
6. Once dried, glue your twine to your pumpkin using hot glue.
Optional: You can add a magnet to the back to create a magnetic clip. This will need to be a magnet with enough strength to hold the weight of the wood slice. You may also add faux leaves or greenery to your pumpkin to give it some additional snazz.
