DIY Candy Corn Tulle Wreath

Whether you’re a fan of candy corn or not, this tulle wreath will be a fun and beautiful addition to your fall door decor! And the ribbon on top – which looks like a pumpkin – is the icing on the cake. You’ll turn to this tulle wreath year after year as you decorate! Try it in other colors for different holidays as well.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 1-2 hours
Age range: 8+ (younger children might need help with the ribbon detail)

Things you’ll need:
Yellow tulle netting
White tulle netting
Orange tulle netting
Styrofoam wreath
Wide ribbon
1 – Orange pipe cleaner
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Cut 20 pieces of tulle in each color to 16-18″ long each. When you’re finished, you’ll have a total of 60 pieces to work with. Feel free to double this if you want an even fuller wreath.

2. Tie the first piece of tulle onto the styrofoam wreath in a double knot.

3. Move the knot to the outside of the wreath.

4. This is what it looks like when you have your first three pieces of tulle tied onto the wreath. I’ve alternated colors, but you can group them in batches if you’d like – however you’d like your wreath to look is perfect!

5. Half of the wreath completed….

6. All of the tulle pieces have been tied onto the wreath form!

7. Tie a ribbon onto the top of the wreath so you can hang it.

8. Cut your gold ribbon to 60″ long. Roll it around itself in the size shown. Keep rolling until the entire length has been rolled.

9. Making sure you have both ends in the same spot (trim if needed), tie a piece of pipe cleaner around the ribbon to secure it. Make sure you don’t trim the pipe cleaner.

10. Pull the rings apart so you now have a half-circle that resembles a pumpkin. There’s no need to make a whole circle, because this will rest on the wreath form.

11. Slip the pipe cleaner, with the ribbon pumpkin attached, under the hanging” ribbon and twist to secure. Leave the ends of the pipe cleaner free.

12. Curl the ends of the pipe cleaner so they look whimsical. Share your tulle wreath with all who come to your door this autumn!
