Make Your Own Tiny Top Hat Hairpin

New Year’s Eve is fast approaching and who wants to celebrate without a little bling and fun? No one! That’s who! These little top hats are the perfect thing to top off your New Year’s Duds, just a little fun and sparkle and whimsy without being an over the top, in the way, full on hat. Be sure to glue your bobby pins to the hats flat side down. They’ll both adhere to the hats better and grip your hair more securely!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Mini top hats
Glitter spray or Mod Podge and glitter (optional)
Bobby Pins
Ribbon, flowers or sequins
Scissors
Super Glue or Epoxy

Things to do:
1. If you would like a sparkly hat, spray with glitter or paint with a thin coat of Mod Podge and sprinkle with glitter. Allow this to dry thoroughly.
2. Once the glitter is dry, add embellishments – ribbons, sequins etc. to the hat, securing, as needed, with super glue.
3. When the embellishments are dry, flip the hats over so the bottom is facing up and attach your bobby pin flat side to the hat with super glue or epoxy. Allow the glue to dry completely before wearing.
