Thumbprint Art Make-a-Mug

This is a fabulous, old school craft that just screams Father’s Day. I remember making something very similar for my dad many years ago and now my kids are making one for their dad. And to go along with it, another classic craft, thumbprint art! The two make a keepsake that daddy will love for a long, long time, long after those little thumbs grow up.

Difficulty Level: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Design-a-Mug kit
Inkpads
Pens
Paper
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Remove the pieces of the kit from the box. Pull the paper liner from the kit.

2. Using the included paper as a template, cut a new piece to the same dimensions.
3. Help your kids add thumbprints to the paper, spacing them out to allow for lots of creativity.

4. Let the kids add arms, legs, faces and other details to the thumbprints.

5. Once the ink is dry, assemble the mug according to package directions.
