Ice cream, yum! Give this ribbon ice cream cone barrette to the little girl in your life, and she’ll be the envy of all her friends. And there’s a bonus – this ice cream won’t melt!

Age range: 10+
Things you’ll need:
Tan, pink, white, brown and blue ribbon, either satin or grosgrain ribbon (Tan ribbon should be wider)
Barrette
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Lighter or wood-burning tool *optional
Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun. Cut the white, pink and brown ribbons to about 4″ long each. Cut a piece of blue ribbon to the length of the barrette, and glue in place.
2. Knot the white ribbon as shown.
3. Create two more knots over the first knot.
4. Cut off the tails, with just a bit of excess remaining.
5. Glue the ends to the back of the knot.
6. Repeat with the brown and pink ribbons.
7. Cut the larger tan ribbon into a triangle with a blunt point, as shown. If desired, seal the ends with a lighter or wood-burning tool.
8. Wrap the tan ribbon into a cone shape, and glue in the back.
9. Glue the white, brown and pink ribbons together.
10. Glue the cone to the barrette.
11. Glue the “ice cream” to the top of the cone, on the barrette.
