DIY Rustic Wood Slice Chalkboard Sign

Create a versatile chalkboard sign, using a large piece of wood slice. These signs can be customized any way you see fit, and makes a great adornment to any home, during any season!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 30+ minutes
Age range: 12+

Things you’ll need:
Large wood slice
Chalkboard paint
Jute twine
Foam brush
Faux succulents (or any other addition you wish)
Drill
Hot glue gun/glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Using chalkboard paint, paint the front of your food slice (the smoothest side works best).

2. Allow to dry.
3. Drill two holes at the top of your sign on each end of the sign.

4. Use jute twine, and string through the back of your sign one each side. Once through, tie knots large enough to keep your twine from sliding back through the hole.

5. Using your hot glue, and embellishments, decorate the sides of your sign.
