DIY Glittered Tea Lights

Sparkly and shiny, these glittered tea lights are festive and elegant, and so easy to make it’s almost ridiculous. The key here is to heat up the wax just enough to make a glaze of glitter stick to the surface. As the candle melts the glitter will stay on the surface and sink down with the wax, keeping the glittered appearance until all the wax has melted away. Perfect for adding a little glitz to an evenings entertainment.

Difficulty level: Easy, but not a craft for children due to the use of heat
Time required: 2 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Heat gun or hair dryer
Tea lights
Fine glitter

Things to do:
1. On a protected work surface, gently heat the top of the tea lights.

2. When the surface is shiny and a little melted, sprinkle a generous amount of glitter onto the wax.

3. Allow the wax to harden again and then tap the excess glitter away before lighting the wick.
