Upycle: Turn Old Wine Corks into a Custom Corkboard


In just a few easy steps, you can recycle corks to create a custom corkboard in any shape or size. This fun DIY will help you organize your refrigerator space and display your photos and notes in a fun fashion.

Things you’ll need:
Corks
Super Tacky Glue
Magnets
Scissors
Knife
Ruler

Things to do:
1. The first step is securing four magnets to the back of a ruler. This will allow you to display your corkboard on your refrigerator. Use tacky glue and cover the ends and center of the ruler with magnets. Allow time to dry.

2. Cut several corks in half using a sharp knife.

3. Use tacky glue to secure the flat side of the cork to the ruler. Glue corks onto the ruler until the entire surface is covered.

4. Put your corkboard on your refrigerator, and use tacks to display photos or notes.

Things you’ll need:
White string lights
Tulle
White pipe cleaners
Scissors
Wire Cutters

Things to do:
1. Cut your chenille stems into 2-inch sections.

2. Wrap tulle around the string of lights, carefully bunching the fabric. Use a 2-inch piece of chenille to secure the fabric.

3. Continue bunching fabric over the lights until you’ve covered the entire strand.
