Perfect for adding extra dimension to wreaths, a topping for a gift or just as a decorative accent, these pom poms are fun to make and quick to whip up. Add accents, make them multi color, try them large or small! You’ll love them!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Floral wire
Turquoise Deco mesh or other colors of your choice
Scissors
Wire cutters

Things to do:
1. Cut four lengths of deco mesh that are as long as they are wide (so if you are using 12 inch mesh, cut 12 inch long sections).
2. Scrunch one section up along the center point, pinching tightly. Repeat with a second piece.

3. Layer the two together in an X so the narrow points meet. Wrap tightly with a short length of wire.

4. Repeat with the other two sections, adding accent pieces as desired.
5. Press the two wired points together and add another piece of wire to connect them.

6. Fluff out the edges of the pom pom.

How to Make a Sinamay Mesh Garland

Mesh wreaths are the hot topic in the craft world at the moment, and what better way to set off your beautiful newly made wreath than with a matching garland around the door. Simple to make, these garlands are great for parties, holidays and special events, anytime you want to kick your front door decor up a notch!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 25 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Mesh netting in various colors (we used royal blue, red, white and natural), twice the length of the finished garland you are after.
Pipe cleaners
Paracord
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Measure the length of garland you need. Cut a piece of paracord 1/3 longer than that length.

2. Lay a pipe cleaner about 8 inches up from one end of the paracord and tie the paracord tightly around it to secure. If desired you can add a drop of glue to the knot.

3. Move about 6 inches up and repeat the process, continuing along the length of the paracord, adding a pipe cleaner at 6 inch intervals, leaving a slightly longer 8 inch tail at the far end.
4. Lay your mesh netting out so that the widest is on the bottom and any accent colors are on top. Measure out about 10 inches and bunch tightly.
5. Secure the bunch with the first pipe cleaner on the cord, twisting it tightly around the mesh. Wrap the pipe cleaner tails around to the back side, twist together and trim away any excess.

6. Go down the mesh about 12 inches, bunch and secure with the next pipe cleaner. Repeat this process, using 12 inches of mesh for each section of the garland. Finish with a slightly shorter tail of about 10 inches of mesh.

7. Add embellishments as desires and hang around your door.
