cuting_burlap

Things you’ll need:
Burlap
Sharp scissors

Things to do:
1. Lay your burlap on a flat, protected work surface.
2. Identify the thread in the weave that is closest to the point where you want your fabric trimmed. Follow that thread down to the raw ends and tug at the end of that thread.
3. Pull gently on the thread while holding the fabric on the opposite end so that the thread slides out of the burlap leaving a gap in the weave.
4. Trim down the center of the gap for a perfect edge every time.

3. Continue to add glue and wrap layers of twine until you have covered about a third of the glass.
4. Trim the twine so that it ends at the same point on the votive where it began and splay out the very end, dabbing with glue and tuck under the bands of twine so that it disappears under it.
