How to Make an Easter Basket Ribbon Hair Clip


Perfect for Easter, this ribbon Easter basket is as fun to wear as it is fun to make! Use up your ribbon scraps for eggs” and have fun creating the perfect color combinations to match her Easter dress.

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 45 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Barrette
Brown grosgrain ribbon
Various colors of other ribbons for eggs and bow on the basket
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Needle and thread
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun and glue a piece of ribbon on top of the barrette. Set this aside for now.

2. Cut the brown ribbon to 5 inches long. Fold about an inch of of the ribbon back as shown.

3. Fold it again and glue in place.

4. Wrap the ribbon around the front and back once, making this a little wider than the bottom.

5. Hot glue this in place and clip the end.

6. Trim a 2″ piece of ribbon vertically, creating a thin strip.

7. Hot glue the thin strip to the basket as the handle, as shown.

8. Cut out some eggs from your ribbon scraps.

9. Glue the eggs to the back side of the basket so the show through the top.

10. Thread your needle and knot the end. Fold a small piece of ribbon so that the ends overlap.

11. Poke the needle and thread through the center and wrap as shown. Tie off and clip the thread.

12. Glue the bow to the basket.

13. Glue the finished basket to the barrette.
