Welcome your guests by hanging this burlap “Love” banner in a prominent place in your home. You may either create this as shown, or add the burlap to a large wooden plaque for a firmer surface.

Things you’ll need:
Burlap fabric
Stencils
Stencil brush
Black acrylic paint
Red acrylic paint
Scissors
Ruler
Large-eyed needle
Twine or embroidery floss

Things to do:
1. Punch out the stencils for L, O, V and E.

2. Cut the burlap to 14 inches square.

3. Carefully measure and draw faint lines to divide the square into quarters. Stencil the “L” in the upper left corner.

4. Repeat with the remaining letters as shown.

5. Paint a red border around the edges of the burlap.

6. The banner should look like the one shown here.

7. Thread your needle and add the twine or heavy floss to hang the banner. Alternatively, you may nail the burlap to a large wooden plaque and add a sawtooth hanger to the back.
