Whimiscal Wood and Felt Gnome Friends

Gnomes are one of my favorite parts of winter. We’ve got a few little gnome friends that live in and around our house all year but during the winter, naturally, we find them everywhere. Both kids and grownups around here love to see them peeking out from the bookshelf or from on top of the piano. I’m always on the hunt for more gnomes to fill our home and these were fun, quick and such a hit with the whole family.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Wood people
Felt
Yarn
Craft glue
Faux fur
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Run a bead down the back of the wood person from the neck down. Beginning at the neck, wrap yarn tightly around the body to create clothes.

2. Cut a beard out of the that will just touch the ground when placed halfway up the face.

3. Glue the beard across the face of the gnome, trimming the fur as needed.
4. Cut a ling skinny triangle out of the felt and roll into a cone with the open end just larger than the circumference of the gnomes head. Glue the edges together to hold.

5. Slip the cone onto the gnomes head so that it meets up with the top of the beard to finish.
