Make fabric pumpkins for your Fall decor using dish cloths! They come in so many fun sizes and are more sturdy than most fabric you’ll pick up from the fabric shop.
Difficulty level: Easy
Time to complete: 1 hour
Age range: 10+
Things you’ll need:
Tuscan sun dish cloth
Cinnamon sticks
Orange buttons
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Pen or pencil
Needle and thread
Bowl or plate at least 9″ wide
Crumpled newspaper or other stuffing
Things to do:
1. Trace around your bowl.
2. Cut out your circle.
3. Thread your needle and knot one end. Sew running stitches along the edge, gathering as you go.
4. Inert your stuffing. I used newspaper. Pull the thread tightly and stitch in place, leaving a small opening for your cinnamon sticks.
5. Warm up your hot glue gun. Insert the cinnamon sticks and glue in place.
6. Glue on any other buttons or embellishments.
