DIY Paper Wallet Money Holder


A paper wallet makes it easy to decorate your own money holder. This craft is useful and will help you stay organized. Make some for your friends and family so that they can can carry their cash in a custom-made wallet too!

Difficulty level: Beginner

Things you’ll need:
8-1/2 x 11 in. construction paper
Scissors
Tape
Markers

Things to do:
1. Begin by folding your paper in half so that each half is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 in (hamburger style, NOT hot dog style)
2. Open your paper up and bring both edges of your paper to meet the middle so that when you are finished creasing these folds, your paper will be divided into four skinny rectangular sections.
3. Open your paper up and fold your paper in half to make two long rectangles measuring 4 3/4 in. x 11 in ( hot dog style)
4. Open your paper and lay it so that you have four small squares on top and four on bottom.
5. In the second column of your paper, you will draw a diamond shape along the length-wise center crease.
6. With your marker, draw two parallel lines connecting the left end of your diamond shape with the left edge of your paper.
7. Cut out your diamond shape and the two parallel lines.
8. Bring the edges of the cut lines together and tape so that the paper bows out.
9. Fold both edges to the center of your paper as you did before.
10. Fold your paper in half so that you have created a pocket for your wallet.
11. Fold your paper in half the other way so that the cut diamond shape is on the inside of your wallet.
12. Tape the ends of your wallet closed
13. Use your markers to decorate your wallet however you like! Slip money into the pouch to conveniently store your cash.
