Easy Craft Foam Stitching Cards

My little kiddos love to sew like their mama. They are, of course, just learning, but they love to try and having projects that they can succeed with are key to helping them love the crafts I love to do. These little sewing cards are similar to the very first sewing I did as a little girl, only much easier to sew on and a snap to make! Great for my kids and great for me!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Craft Foam
Skewer
Embroidery thread and blunt nose or plastic needle
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Cut craft foam into shapes. You’ll want them to be large enough to have enough holes for a good amount of stitching but small enough for little hands to hold.

2. Using the skewer, poke holes in a dot-to-dot style, outlining or creating designs on the shapes.

3. Help your child thread and knot the embroidery thread onto the needle and show them how to stitch into and out of the holes.
