DIY Animal Storage Mason Jars


This DIY is great for beginners! In a few simple steps, you can transform a plain mason jar into a chic storage container, perfect for organizing any odds and ends you have laying around.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 15 Minutes
Age range: 12 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Mason jar
Plastic animals
Metallic silver spray paint
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Spread several sheets of newspaper over your work area to protect the surface from the spray paint.

2. Shake your can of paint and apply an even coat to the front side of the animal. Let the paint dry completely.

3. Flip the animals over and apply a second coat of paint. Be sure to cover hidden areas, like the stomach and top of the head.

4. When the animal is dry completely, use hot glue to attach it to the center of a Mason jar lid. Screw the lid onto your jar and enjoy!
