Washi Tape Door Accent

Washi tape is amazing stuff. You can add it to wrapped gifts in lieu of a ribbon, turn bland black binder clips or clothespins fab in a flash, use it to highlight events in your calendar or just turn something plain and ordinary into something fun and funky. Like a door. A plain white door can have instant interest with the addition of a washi tape border. And bonus! When you get tired of it, no need to repaint, just peel it off and start again with a different color or pattern tape!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 30 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Washi tape
Craft knife
Door

Things to do:
1. Start along one edge, just inside an inset panel, running the tape up and down the length.

2. Gently, being careful not to cut through to the door surface cut the ends in a miter with the craft knife.
3. Work the next section as with the first, this time lining up the tape at the corner and cutting the other half of the miter.

4. Continue in this fashion until all the panels are done.
