Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Age range: All ages *Young children may need assistance

Things you’ll need:
Epsom salts
Food coloring
Plastic bag
Glass jar or container with reusable top.
Funnel
Decorative ribbon, or beads and jewelry wire

Things to do:
1: Measure Epsom salts into the container you’ve chosen to use. Use a funnel to ensure all the Epsom salts end up inside the container.

2: Pour Epsom salts from the container into a plastic bag.

3. Add 2-3 drops of food coloring to the bag of Epsom salts. With food coloring, a little goes a long ways, so use sparingly. If you want to add a scent to your bath salts, do so now. If you’re giving the bath salts as a gift, it may be a good idea to leave them unscented, as allergic reactions are possible.

4. Seal the plastic bag and shake to mix the Epsom salts until the food coloring is evenly distributed.

5: Pour the colored Epsom salts back into your container and seal the top with a cork or lid to keep them fresh. With a tight seal, these bath salts can last up to 2 years.

6. Decorate the neck of the jar or container with ribbon and beads for a pretty look.
