Rick Rack Flower #1

These flowers are sweet and cute and can be adjusted to any color scheme and size by changing the width of the rickrack or the length of the starting pieces. While this is done as a no-sew project you can also stitch the layers of the flower together rather than glue them. For another version click here.

Things you’ll need:
Rick rack
Iron
Ironing board
Craft glue
Clothespin

Things to do:
1. Cut two lengths of rickrack, about 20 inches long. Dab a small amount of glue on the ends and pinch them together with the clip to hold the tight while you work.

2. Wind the lengths of rickrack around one another so that the bends on one nest into the dips of the other. Press gently with the iron, on low heat, to help flatten them.
3. Starting with the glued end, roll the rickrack tightly, adding a small amount of glue on the inside layer as you go.
4. Continue rolling until you have rolled the flower all the way up. Apply a dab of glue under the flower and glue the tail of the flower there. Holding it with the clip until dry.
5. Once the glue is dry, press gently on the top edges of the flower to help splay them out.
