2. Pinning the pin to a pillow or securing the pencil under a book, lay the six strands out in the pattern you want your stripes.
3. Starting at the far left sting, use it to tie a knot around each remaining string, ending with the first string in the final position. Repeat, starting each round with the new first string and working across, until you have built up the length you want in the bracelet.

Upcycling: Bottle to Vase

Upcycling_Bottle_Vase
Have you ever run across a great jar or bottle that just begs to be used as a vase but for the threads at the top where the lid screws on? Turn a plain bottle into a high end vase with little more than glue and twine.

Things you’ll need:
Bottle or jar such as Looza Juice or Iced Coffee
Hemp Twine
Craft Glue

Things to do:
1. Coat the threads of the bottle with a generous coat of glue and wind enough twine around it to make the tops of the twine even with the edges of the threads. This will create an even base for your twine.

2. Add more glue and begin wrapping twine from just below the threads to the very edge of the bottle, adding glue as needed.
