Long ago, when I was in college, my mom sent me a care package that included bright red staples for my stapler. I loved them! They made even the most boring paper a little more fun with their pop of color! Nowadays, I tend toward the more subtle, but I still think it’s fun to jazz up things now and then. These gold staples are a snap to make and are such a fun addition to a day at the office!

Time required: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Staples
Gold paint pen or marker
Stapler

Things to do:
1. Pull a chunk of staples out of the box, trying to keep them from breaking apart.

2. Color down the top of the staples with the gold paint. Allow the paint to dry then color the sides of the staples.

3. Once the paint is dry, insert the staples into your stapler and get to work!
