This is a simple and quick way to give a plain kitchen towel a little oomph. Whip up a few for a hostess gift or keep them all to your self, either way they make a fun addition to any kitchen!
Things you’ll need:
Kitchen tea towels
Green embroidery floss
Buttons
Embroidery needle
Scissors
Things to do:
1. Start by selecting your buttons. Look for solid colored buttons in shades that reflect the fruit you want to create. Red for cherries, green for apples, orange for oranges, or very small purple ones for grapes.
2. Stitch your buttons into place about two inches in from the corner of your towel.
3. Using a simple running stitch, create a stem for your fruit. Add a leaf or two with the stitch of your choice.
4. Tie off your thread and trim the ends.
