DIY Rustic Diorama Christmas Ornament

Add a dash of rustic charm to your holiday decor, with these super simple DIY diorama ornaments!

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 10+ minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Paper mache ornament
Mod Podge
Doily
Bottle brush tree
Jute twine
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Using a smaller sized doily, put your doily inside of your diorama ornament and determine the amount of doily the will need to trimmed to allow the doily to lay flat and cover the majority of the inside of the ornament.
2. After trimming your doily to size, saturate your doily in mod podge, and place it inside of your diorama ball. ( try to keep it stuck to the inside as well as possible, so that it can dry in to the correct shape ) Allow to dry.

3. After the doily has dried, hot glue any of the areas that the doily isn’t stuck to the ornament.
4. Decorate the inside. We used a cream colored bottle brush, but any rustic themed miniature would work! Attach using hot glue.
5. Use jute twine to trim the opening of the ornament attaching with hot glue.

6. Optional: Remove the previously attached hanger, and use your jute twine to create a more rustic hook. Attach using hot glue.
