How to Fold an Easter Bunny Napkin

Dress up your Easter brunch get-together or style your dining room table for Spring. This origami style bunny takes minutes to make and will be sure to impress your guests! Thinner cotton or linen napkins are recommended to make your folds crisper.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Square cotton or linen napkin
Starch *optional

Things to do:
1. If you prefer crisper lines and folds, starch your napkin. Starching is not required. Completely unfold your napkin so that it is laying like a flat square.

2. Fold your square in half, then half again to create a wide rectangle.

3. In your mind, cut the rectangle in half down the middle and fold the left side down to meet that invisible line.

4. Fold down the right side of the rectangle to meet in the center, as shown.

5. Fold your bottom corners up towards the center again to create a diamond shape.

6. Fold your corners upward once more on both sides to create a kite shape.

7. Flip the entire ‘kite’ over and fold the top point down so that it is flush with its left and right corners to create a large triangle, as shown.

8. Flip back to the other side.

9. Fold left and right corners back; tuck one corner into the pocket of the other to fasten together. If you are having issues with the fabric staying inside the pockets, try using pins or ribbon to secure.

10. Flip your napkin over once more. Start pulling its ‘ears’ out and open its tail to your liking. Voila your bunny is finished!
