Felt Gingerbread Ornaments


I have a confession, as much a I love gingerbread men and houses and cookies, I’m terrible at making them! They always crumble for me. It’s just a fact of the holidays. So I’m a big fan of faux gingerbread, especially these felt ornaments! So cute and sweet without the hassle of crumbly cookies and gooey frosting!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 20 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Brown felt
Brown and white embroidery threads
Embroidery needle
Cookie cutters
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Using the cookie cutters as a guide, or just cutting free hand, cut out two of each cookie” shape you want for an ornament.

2. On one of each pair, embroidery frosting” using the white embroidery thread. No need to make it precise, remember, it’s supposed to look like frosting!

3. Once the top is embroidered, sandwich the two layers together and seam using the brown thread and a blanket or running stitch.

4. Add a loop at the top for hanging and trim all ends.
