DIY Vintage Inspired Spool Christmas Tree Decor


This rustic decor embodies Country Christmas” in a new and innovative way. In a few simple steps, you can create a vintage spool tree that can also serve a practical purpose. Use the magnets to hold photos or notes in place, or simply enjoy the festive design. However you use your tin sheet, you’re sure to love this project.

Things you’ll need:
Rusted tin sheet
Spools
Wooden star
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Magnets
Natural jute
Green jute
Scissors

Things to do:
1. The first step is wrapping spools in jute. Use hot glue to attach the end of the string to the spool and wrap it around until the entire surface is covered. Secure the end with hot glue and trim any excess. Wrap six spools with green jute and one with brown jute.



2. Use hot glue to attach magnets to the end of the green spools and to the side of the brown spool.



3. Use hot glue to attach a magnet to the back of a wooden star.

4. Arrange the pieces on a rusted tin sheet, creating a Christmas tree shape with a star on top.
