How to Make a Ribbon Christmas Tree


Add a homemade touch to your seasonal decorations or holiday village with this quaint ribbon Christmas tree. Experiment with different textures of ribbon and colored pushpins to create a unique look to complement your decor.

Age range: 6 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Styrofoam cone
Green ribbon
Pearl pins
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Cut 2 1/2 inch pieces of green ribbon.


2. Fold a piece of ribbon in half.

3. Push a pearl pushpin through the top of the ribbon fold and press it into the Styrofoam tree.

4. Start with the bottom ring and move up gradually until the entire surface is covered.

5. When you get to the last row of ribbon, push the pin into the top of the tree.

6. Fill in any empty gaps with more ribbon until the tree is thick and full.
