I’m always on the look out for cool, casual frames for displaying the art my kids bring home from school each week. The best option, for me, is a frame that can be easily changed so that art can rotate through as new pieces enter the house. These wall frames made from washi tape are perfect, a little tape, a blank wall and bam, you have an interesting and easily customizable frame.
Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 30 minutes
Things you’ll need:
Washi tape
Blank wall
Ruler
Craft knife
Things to do:
1. Start with a simple rectangle, using the ruler and craft knife to keep the edges straight and to miter the corner.
2. Once you have a basic rectangle, add embellishment, cut outs, more frames, wild shapes and colors – the sky’s the limit!.
