Washi Tape Twist Ties

Sometimes a ribbon is more than you need to finish off a gift. Sometimes you need something simpler, just enough to draw together the wrapping on a bag or the cellophane on a basket. A twist tie. Perfect. But who wants boring old twist ties? Not me! That’s why I love these washi tape twist ties. Fast, easy and SO handy.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Wire
Washi tape
Scissors
Wire cutters

Things to do:
1. Cut the wire into 4 inch long pieces and bend to be as straight as possible.

2. Unroll a piece of tape slightly longer than the wire and lay it on your work surface, sticky side up.

3. Place the wire in the center of the tape and cover with a second piece of tape. Smooth the two pieces of tape together, keeping the wire centered as you work.

4. Trim the ends and put them to use!
